Wicked: The Pop-Up Book (Giveaway!)
October 5, 2009The stunning new pop-up book , Wicked: The Musical by Greg Call, just hit books stores October 1st.
The book recreates several scenes from the musical, Wicked.
Prepare to be amazed. I’ve never seen anything like it.
The pop-ups are brilliant and spell-binding.
Details like little notes inside of envelopes, great design and lots of flaps keep the layout fresh and entertaining.
A map of Emerald City could be really useful someday… You never know.
Don’t mind my hand (unmanicured, at that) holding the page open. This pop-up of Elphaba, or the Wicked Witch of the West, is pretty amazing.
But I saved the supreme awesomeness for last:
Hello! How is this even possible with paper? That must fold into a binding? I am impressed.
Methinks any age would be fascinated, but all tween girls on your list will be enamoured. You can find it at Barnes and Noble and everywhere.
And you can win one!
Just leave a comment by Friday, October 9th. I’ll use Random.org to pick a winner Saturday the 10th. That’s it!
Good luck and happy day!
*** Congrats to Janessa (#2) who won the book! ***

on October 9, 2009 11:46 amOh wow, that’s so cool! We are big pop-up book fans here.
Would you believe that I’m actually re-reading Wicked/Son of a Witch? My brother returned my copy to me (a year late, I might add) so I’ve just delved into it again yesterday. What kismet.
I’d love to see the musical sometime, to make it really come to life.
