What $400,000 Buys You Across the Country
April 15, 2011A little change of pace here this week… Instead of 1 home tour, how about 6? And the answer to the question:
What does $400,000 buy around this country?
**If you’re wondering how I decided on $400K, I just picked it out of the blue. No math formulas, no looking up national home prices, I just picked it. How’d I do??
So strap on your fanny packs, because here we go…
1. Plano, Texas, $399,990
You know the saying, “If it ain’t big, it ain’t in Texas”. And, well, this proves true…
Living room.
And a pool!
2. Brentwood, TN (outside of Nashville) $399,900
A gorgeous brick colonial.
Kitchen.
Media room
And plenty of room outdoors.
3. Charlottesville, VA $385,000
Pretty!
Big kitchen.
Clearly, a gardener lives here.
4. Boise, ID $399,900
Crisp Craftsman.
Interior hallway.
And the entryway.
(Sorry, these were the only interior shots)
5. Omaha, NE #1 $390,000
Only 1 photo of this home.
But she’s a stunner.
6. Omaha, NE #2 $400,000
Now for the whopper…
Entry hallway.
Main level kitchen.
Lower level kitchen.
Yes, I know.
So where are you moving?? Which was your favorite?
Have a great weekend everyone! Killer home tour coming up next week.

on April 17, 2011 11:31 pmI’m already as close to Brentwood, TN as you can be and not actually be in the town limits. But, I have to say I like the Virginia home.
Interesting article.
