Valentine Love (Etsy Style)
January 17, 2013written by Cathy Baker, married to my best friend for 18 years, lovin’ my beautiful life in the Missouri Ozarks
So yes, even though I’m a bit smitten with amazon, I still think there is something beautiful about supporting handmade! I have come to love Etsy! My vow this year is to buy more on etsy and support small business. If you’ve never taken a hop over to etsy.com – everything on there is either handmade, vintage or craft supplies.
On top of that, handmade just has a bit more of a touch that says, I went out of my way to find something special to celebrate our relationship, rather than just stopping by local grocery store for chocolate and card (not that I have anything against chocolate and cards!!).
So, with Valentine’s Day just around the corner, I wanted to share a few fun ideas I found on etsy – you still have plenty of time to order and get them here for Valentine’s Day! Disclaimer: I have not purchased these items myself, but all these sellers do have 100% positive reviews!
Our Hobby to Your Home, makes some simply adorable signs! I think this Ooh La La sign could be fun, I also like their happily ever after sign.
Your love is never too old to carve your initials in a tree! Love this personalized (real birch wood) candle from Urban Plus Forest. They also can carve your initials into a wood ornament, which would be cute hung year round on a hook in your room.
I thought these pillow cases from Treasures Shop would just add a bit of fun to the bedroom decor. She has several other pillow sets that would be fun for valentine’s day too! You can customize with your own names.
Celebrating the Moment has upcycled scrabble tiles to make fun little signs to add some decor to your home or office. In stock are Happily Ever After, Hug-Kiss-Flirt, and Forever Love. Custom made tiles are also available upon request. And you sweet readers, since it’s my shop, and Valentine’s Day is my birthday – I’m giving you a little gift – 10% off by using the code GSG10.
Look at these cute chalkboards from Chalk Junkie. They arrive blank so you can add your own words too! Would be fun to keep by the bed and add messages year round!
And how adorable is this set of puzzle keychains from Custom Signs and Stamps? Love it!
I simply adore this, from Kozy Wozy! Look at this cute jar with 101 ways to Say I love you inside…already rolled up…ready to open for the next 101 days. So sweet.
And if you still want a few more ideas for valentine’s day – check out these Valentine ideas from last year!
And that’s A’more!
