Fancy Nancy
I wish Nancy was real and I could see what she was like when she grows up. I think she’d be fun at Girls Night.
6
Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs
What would happen if our food fell from the sky? It’s kind of fun to think about.
9
The Frog Prince Continued
Ever wondered what happens after “happily ever after”? A little edgy, but fun in its edginess.
10
Miss Nelson Missing
This was a favorite of mine as a kid, a consistent favorite with the adorables, and a hit on Amazon.
12
Too Many Toys
Don’t we all have this problem? David Shannon is brilliant and so are his illustrations.
13
Eloise
My all-time favorite book and a favorite with my class when I taught. Warning: Eloise is a stinker!

Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day
Alexander is a whiny complainer, but it’s a fun to read about his foibles. Now let’s not be like him, shall we?

on August 19, 2010 2:07 pmHeidi, I think a “Brilliant Author Series” on Mo Willems is a great idea! He’s got some great stuff out. We’ve just started reading his Elephant and Piggie series. How does he come up with this stuff?
