St. Helena Simplicity
March 16, 2012Happy, happy Home Tour Friday!
Today we’re heading out to St. Helena, California (that’s Sonoma wine country, friends) to see a 1500 square foot home that is BIG on simplistic elegance.
I just love the look of this home.
The extensive use of overhangs and pergolas greatly expand the square footage.
And when you have all this northern California warmth and sunshine, the outdoor areas really do count as extra rooms in the house. I’d like to claim the above room as mine.
I looked at this photo 3 times before I even noticed the furnishings. When you have terrific architecture, tremendous light and a gorgeous view, who cares?
There is not a single thing about this bedroom that I don’t love. Not a thing.
Many thanks to Backen, Gillam & Kroeger Architects for this gorgeous home tour.
Have a fabulous weekend! The luck ‘o the Irish to you…
