Slice of Americana…
June 1, 2010We used to travel every year for Memorial Day Weekend, but then we stumbled upon our local Memorial Day parade several years ago. Since then, we (or maybe it was just me who imposed the travel ban) have been looking forward to this annual leisurely stroll down our Main Street. I love the patriotism and neighborliness displayed this day. It’s like being dropped in the middle of a Norman Rockwell painting.
A bright, sunny day and American flags – I think the two were made for each other.
Love the firemen marching.
Fire engine red is my new favorite color.
I think this one was designed my a woman. I wish my mudroom was this organized.
Isn’t this a beautiful front porch? (It’s not mine.)
I hope you had an excellent day.
