New England Splendor
November 3, 2009New England is probably best known for its fall foliage, and this year has been spectacular.
For those of you in warmer climates, with all of your lush greenery, you might revel in the colors. For us northerners, it’s a last little treat before the onslaught of winter (which I concede can be pretty, but it’s still winter folks).
I’ve been collecting these photos this past week, as it finally feels like we’ve reached the height of our season. I’m always surprised me how late it really is.
It’s a little sad to me when the boats come in from the water.
The reds are my favorite.
Even this sea grass turns a beautiful goldenrod. Gorgeous, right?
These long winding roads help us drink in all the colors. I love these drives.
I’m not sure if you can get more New England than this. Looks like I’m one week late for these trees…
So next year, schedule a visiting trip and we’ll take the drive together. It’s really so much prettier in person.
