Home Tour on Saturday, Part Deux
January 2, 2010Happy New Year! It’s the start of the year, and we’re going to see a fabulous apartment in the Tudor City area of Manhattan.
Now unlike many of the family homes we’ve seen, this place is just for grown-ups (as in, my adorables would not even be allowed to visit). It’s so pristine and gorgeous and I can’t wait to show you.
So here we go…
Isn’t this a beautiful room? This 2-bedroom apartment underwent a complete renovation and the results are stunning.
Another look. I love the simplicity of the art.
This is the revamped kitchen. The walls separating the room from the living room were removed, so it’s now light and bright and allows for much better flow. Seriously, who ever thought small, closed-off kitchens were a good idea??
The dining area is simple and functional. Again, I love the art.
This is an excellent view of the all new wide-plank oak floors in a lime wash.
The bedroom is tranquil and serene.
Details, details…
Gorgeous details.
It’s very rare I save a bathroom for last, but I think you’ll understand…
Isn’t this stunning? Fresh and happy, and prompts you to whistle a happy tune in the morning. Love it.
Special thanks to Therese Virserius Design, an award-winning full service interior design firm based in New York City, for this amazing tour.
I hope you have a wonderful New Year Weekend!
