Craftsman Cool
September 24, 2010Happy Home Tour Friday to you! Today we’re headed to Manhattan Beach, CA to see a craftsman remodel rich in details.
I love this abundantly welcoming entry. Love the stone and the wood!
I usually think it works to have only 2 materials on the outside of a home (i.e rock and clapboard, stucco and brick, etc), but this is a VERY good exception to my rule! Love the merging of styles here…
This outdoor oasis is particularly nice. Wouldn’t you love to grow your own oranges too?
This entry is a perfect example of updated craftsman style: the handcrafted wood elements, usually by local artisans. LOVE the floor.
This room is gorgeous.
Here’s another look:
Dining: paneling, cozy chandelier, and very cool mural.
The powder room carries the mural theme.
Oh this office rocks: the high paneling, the stone fireplace, the light….
A special thanks to Sarah Barnard of Sarah Barnard Design in Los Angeles for this marvelous home tour.
Happy weekend everyone!
