Wright Inspired…
July 1, 2011Written by Contributing Writer, Sarah Farthing
It has been so hot and humid here that all I can think about is going inside! You’ll want to come with me today, because we’re visiting an Arizona home built in 1978 by a student that studied under Frank Lloyd Wright and decorated by Arizona’s oldest and most established interior design firm: Est Est, Inc.
Here’s our first peek inside, definitely Frank Lloyd Wright style:
I love the orderliness and utility of this living room, you could very comfortably host a large group in here:
“The living room opens to vertical lines in the wood floors and furniture patterns, creating a sense of movement toward the oversized windows that showcase a lush green backyard.”
A closer look at the cozy area by the fire place.
I love this light over the table…
“Nearby, the dining room features a brick wall backdrop with a contemporary chandelier, designed to mimic a statement chandelier at the historic Arizona Biltmore Resort, one block away from the home.”
“Ultra contemporary style defines the his-and-hers office with textured wallpaper and crisp lines.”
“The master bedroom features a custom-made curved headboard to align with the room’s roundness and gray shimmery tones for an updated look to this classic room.”
The master bathroom:
I love the wallpaper in here and those vanities are beautiful!
I think this fireplace is just gorgeous.
The simple elegance of this home is the great work of Est Est, Inc., an interior design firm in Scottsdale, Arizona established in 1959. Many thanks to them for sharing these great images with us. You can visit Est Est online at www.estestinc.com.
