Home Tour: A Family Wow of a House!
November 12, 2010It’s Home Tour Friday and we’re off to New Hampshire.
This family wanted a house with lots of angles and interesting crevices, which could have been just a giant waste of space if not utilized properly. Luckily, they were killer creative.
An angled area in the kitchen becomes a useful and happy family dinner spot.
This great room with the awesome fireplace…
… has serious built-ins to house games, books, family photos, and other treasures.
I love the openness of the living and dining rooms. And I’m always a sucker for pillars and arches (and tray ceilings and molding. Okay… I’m done now).
They used an odd angled area of their mudroom to build a hook, cubby, and bench area. Love the floor which you can just barely see here. Slate tile is completely indestructible.
The finished basement has open space for adorables to play, but also ample storage. A built-in bookcase and a half wall with storage shelves separates the play and television areas.
