Halloween Candy Science
October 23, 2013As you anticipate what to do with all that leftover Halloween Candy (and in my case, attempt not to eat it…), how about Science?
I do LOVE the abundance of Halloween candy this day produces,but there’s always that leftover candy that no one will touch.
I found an excellent idea in Family Fun Magazine that I thought I should share. You can also see the full article here.

So get out your splat mat and some bowls of water, soda, and whatever else you can think of…
And let the kids go crazy doing experiments with their candy.
This bubbling action occurs when you add Smarties to Fresca. There must be a orange M&M in there too for the color.

on October 24, 2013 6:58 amHeidi – brilliant!! We ‘boo’ed” our street and now its like – somewhere please take the candy away!! Mamam – put down the twizzlers, put it down, now walk away, slowly… Agh. I have a sugar addiction. There are worse things!
