{Giveaway} Cooking Light Gluten-Free Cookbook
September 12, 2011Is your family eating Gluten-free?
The chefs from Cooking Light Magazine have delivered some help: more than 150 gluten-free recipes in their new cookbook: The Cooking Light Gluten-Free Cookbook:
What I most enjoyed about this book was the kitchen guide that explained the different grains, flours and starches, what is okay to eat and not eat, and tips on keeping your kitchen contaminate free.
I also enjoyed the gorgeous photographs of almost each dish – more than 150.
Some standouts are Spicy Asian-Marinated Flank Steak, Yang Chow Fried Rice (perhaps I’m craving Chinese food??), Grilled Shrimp with Romesco Sauce, Three Cheese Baked Penne, Pasta Carbonara Florentine, and I could go on and on.
As you would expect from Cooking Light, these recipes are healthy(!) and relatively easy to make. Some even include pre-made, store bought mixes, which I appreciate to save a few steps!

on September 19, 2011 11:43 amThis would be perfect for my son! He suffers from food allergies to: peanuts, eggs, potatoes, wheat, and soybean, so it’s always SUCH an effort finding any foods that he’s able to eat. And gluten-free products are a tremendous help in the wheat dept!
