Fun Facts | August
August 11, 2014Written by Marykate O’Malley, mother of three wonderful children. Gladwyne PA
If you, like me, are feeling like summer is starting to end before it even began, take heart. Here are some fun facts for August:
August 2014 has:
- 5 Fridays
- 5 Saturdays
- 5 Sundays
This occurs once every 823 years.
The last time this occurred was 1191.
So enjoy. Drink in the soft loveliness of August a little longer, she will wait for you.
The largest seagull I have ever laid eyes on. I swear it was the size of a pug. Okay maybe larger.
It reminded me of the poem “The Fish” and I thought he would be a great character in a children’s book. Look at that face! Which is why I took the picture. PS I call dibs. No idea poaching!
