Brilliant Christmas Tree Storage
January 5, 2010Now you have to visualize this with me, because try as I might, I couldn’t find a photo of this anywhere.
As I’m dismantling all of our Christmas regalia (with a little less enthusiasm than when it was put out), I was reminded of a brilliant idea that I’ve heard people have done.
Are you ready?
After Christmas, you simply throw a sheet over your fully decorated artificial tree and scoot it into the under-the-stair storage closet that you asked your builder to create for a full 6 or 8 foot tree.
Just visualize a Christmas tree behind this door…
This won’t work in most houses (under my stairs are the basement stairs), but if you could, just think of the ease.
Now I won’t even get into fake vs. real trees, because I really do prefer the smell of a real fir. But with our holiday travel, some years a real tree is just not a possibility.
Perhaps disposable ornaments???
(I know, not very ec0-friendly, but I can keep dreaming.)
