Bright Idea- Foam Soap Dispensers
October 26, 2011Written by Contributing Writer, Sarah Farthing
Don’t pay for a foam soap dispenser refill again! Re-filling them yourself is a big money saver and it’s so easy! Our family can make one bottle of regular dish soap last month after month using this method
For dish soap, I add about 1/3 cup (always eyeing it) and then fill to the top with water and shake.
It works for hand soap, too, just add a few tablespoons of liquid hand soap* and shake.
That’s it!!
This is so quick and easy; if you’re a foam soap user you have to try it and if you’re not, well, the savings might make it worth converting!
*Regular hand soap is just too drying for us in the winter so I actually use a few tablespoons of Cetaphil daily facial cleanser and water to refill our hand soap dispensers. It works great and is so gentle on all of our hands.

on October 26, 2011 11:21 amWe use these in all our bathrooms too. The kids use less soap and make less of a mess with the foam soap. Plus when dropped it does not break like the decorative ones that used to be in the bathrooms!
We used textrued spray paint to cover the one in our guest bath it turned out pretty nice (just have to make sure not to spray the pump or it won’t go down!)
