I love books, but honestly, compared to a lot of other people, I don’t really have that many in my house. I tend to take full advantage of my local library as often as possible. But for those ‘must have’ books and for my children’s books…there’s always the issue of where to keep them! Here are some inspirational ideas for storing your reading pleasures.
This is definitely more than a ‘weekend’ project – but I just love this idea I came across pinterest! Yes, those are books tucked into all those letters. It would be fun to display in a public library too!
I love this idea for using rain gutters to make a bookshelf. I thought this looked quite sharp being wall to wall.

Here is another pinterest inspired idea to use ‘ rain gutters’ to display books –
Just look at these cute little bookshelves are made out of spice racks from Ikea. Only $4/each too!

Also, the Land of Nod, has these straight-shelf ledges for purchase.
I think this is a creative use of space above the doorway.

Great use of a corner space, especially if you have a smaller home! This doesn’t take up that much room, and how fun for the kids to see all their books?! I like how you can see the covers of the books, not just the binding.

Change a door into a bookshelf? Another great idea for small spaces!
