Beach House in Balboa Island…

Waaayyyy back in the day, this little country girl from Michigan packed up after college and moved out to Newport Beach, CA. I had a job at an insurance company, found a fabulous roommate Erika (who is still a very best friend), and several times a week we would meet after work, eat P.F. Chang’s and walk around Balboa Island, pictured here:

The entire perimeter has this gorgeous, wide path and we would speed walk or run, gab, and breathe in those fabulous Southern California sunsets.

It was HEAVEN and still one of my favorite memories of living there.

So today, let’s tour a home that just screams California family fun!

Is there any chance that you could do this again at Christmas?

One of my favorite things to do is walk around the island looking at all the Christmas decorations.

It was sooo much fun to walk around Balboa Island at Christmas time and see all the decorations, and try to peek into the homes!

I love peeking in all these amazing homes! And sitting in my pjs with coffee in hand is the best part.

Wowza, love that outdoor space. I saved a pic for a “reasonable” future home idea for me. I like how the stair riser is stained along with the stairs. It really makes it pop. Wish we had done that in our home.
