A Trip to Greenfield Village…
July 23, 2009As we continue our “Wipe the Adorables Out So They’ll Pass Out Come Bedtime” tour of Michigan, we couldn’t miss a visit to Greenfield Village.
Henry Ford created the Village to showcase his collection of historical artifacts and buildings. He bought the courthouse where Abe Lincoln practiced law, the bicycle shop of those crazy Wright brothers, and the entire collection of buildings of Thomas Edison’s labs.
It’s a picture of clean, wholesome America.
And there are plenty of activities for the adorables…
This great lawn had many games of the period as well as this puppet show about Abe Lincoln.
And if you haven’t achieved your goal of wiping the adorables out,
sending them into the fields for some manual labor ought to do the trick.

on August 23, 2009 9:51 amWe spend many days at Greenfield Village in the summer. As members with an unlimited ride pass we never have a shortage of things to do or see in this mesmerizing place. My boys and I have more fun here than just about anywhere else!
