Lake Charlevoix Luxe
May 31, 2013Happy Home Tour Friday to you!
Today we head to Northern Michigan – which is – hands-down – my favorite place in the summer.
My cousins lived on Lake Charlevoix and I loved visiting as a kid, buying fudge (hence the name “Fudgies” given to all visitors) at a downtown shop, eating, walking, biking, etc.
This home takes the relaxing described above and elevates it to an art-form.
Told ya.
Love this bridged approach. And that the driveway is lined with Belgian blocks.
There’s so much I love with this room: the windows, the river rock fireplace, the relaxed atmosphere, the barrel ceiling. Of course the canoe hanging adds a sense of humor too.
This is another sitting room (not sure why another is necessary).
Kitchen.
Perfection.
Frankly, I wouldn’t have tucked the stove in here. Sometimes I need to set things next to me…
Dining Room. I think I need to kiss the millwork/trim carpenter. (Sorry Running Man.)
Love this relaxed library concept. The pine millwork is perfect to blend with the rest of the home. Dark wood would have been too heavy for this lake house.
And there’s a pool.
Gorgeous.
Complete with miles of decking…
… and a really great grill.
We only toured a few rooms, but this home spans 15,000 square feet. That’s big, friends. It’s for sale for $11.9 Million. Yep, for reals. You can see the full listing with Sotheby’s.

Oh the kitchen.
Oh the bbq with that picturesque lighted gazebo-ish thing over it.
I might like this one a bit.
