HGTV’s Krista Watterworth’s Home
March 22, 2013It’s House Tour Friday and we’re heading to the Big Apple.
HGTV host Krista Watterworth has graciously invited us to visit her family apartment in the heart of New York City. Ever wondered how families manage in tight quarters? By exercising every centimeter of space, that’s how. Krista is a pro at this!
Krista takes advantage of a wall to create a brilliant storage space in the Dining Room.
Bedrooms in New York apartments don’t abide by the rule that they must have a closet to be considered a bedroom. So Krista ingeniously created one behind this drape.
Krista used a Shulte closet system and drapery in the guest bedroom to compensate for the nonexistant master closet.
Under-the-stairs is perfect for more storage. Books and her adorable’s toy chest are readily accessible, but also tucked away.
I love the simplicity and functionality of her adorable’s room! I marvel at this space-saving crib/diaper changing table.
This patio space is coveted property in crowded New York City. An urban oasis for relaxing and enjoying the city outside. Wouldn’t you love to be here for a cocktail party?
Krista Watterworth is a true multi-tasker: mom, author, television personality, and interior designer. Krista starred in four seasons of HGTV’s Save My Bath as host-designer. Find out more about Krista on her website, KristaWatterworth.com and check out her Room Recipes blog where design TV hosts and community members share their room recipe makeovers and design TV insights. It’s a design mecca!
