Upcycling Cribs and Crib Mattresses
March 1, 2012written by Cathy Baker, mom of two amazing girls, from Missouri
Because I am inspired by those who take something I just get rid of… (Whatever was I thinking?!)…and make something so amazingly cute and useful with it…Here are some old cribs and crib mattresses (found on pinterest) that have been upcycled into amazingness!
Look at this very inviting bench made with an old crib mattress. Can easily be built into an empty space in your home!
How about a super cute desk for your growing preschooler? LOVE the chalkboard desktop they painted on!

And check out this super cute (and oh so useful!) work station/shelving for mom?
And can’t you just picture this on your front porch? Or entryway? I adore this cute bench I found at 2 Little Hooligans blog?
Here’s another cute bench…
Take both ends of an old crib to make this headboard. They used a ceiling medallion in the middle to hide the seems. Brilliant!
Hope you find one of these ideas inspiring for your home!

on March 1, 2012 10:15 pmWhy did you not link to all of these ideas on Pinterest? You are sharing someone’s else’s ideas and not giving credit, where credit is due. How is it possible for anyone else to find back to these great ideas?

on March 2, 2012 10:35 amthese are such good ideas! I always wish I saved the crib mattresses – have a friend who saved her and keeps them under the kids bed as a type of trundle for sleepovers.
