Summertime Kids: Fun
June 5, 2012written by Cathy Baker, lucky mom of two amazing girls, from Missouri
If you’ve missed any of our other weeks of the summertime kids series, be sure to check them out for fun ideas for adding reading, writing, math and healthy living to your summertime routines!
This week’s article is all about the FUN of summertime!
How about this adorable ‘bucket list’ for kids?! You have your kids write some of the things they want to do over the summer on clothespins. Clip the clothespins to the outside of the bucket. After you do them, drop them into the bucket! If you do this, you could always join the Summer Bucket List Challenge over at The Happy Family!
My absolutely favorite idea, that was featured on the Good Stuff Guide, at the end of last summer, is our family’s A to Z Summer Fun! We love taking the 26 letters of the alphabet and doing something fun with them each day of the summer! We keep our list posted the refrig, so the girls know what to plan on each day!
Or, here are two different printable sheets for summer fun…

And for keeping things simple, I simply adore this Monday thru Friday schedule for summer!
So are you more of a ‘go with the wind’ kinda person when it comes to summertime fun, or do you like to plan ahead?!
