Rolo/Pretzel Bites {Dee-lish!}
February 4, 2013Had some families over for the Super Bowl last night and these were a HIT!
Chocolate, caramel, and salty pretzel = perfection.
Now pay attention because these are super easy, and SUPER GOOD.
This is all you need: 1 bag of Rolos, and I bag of Syder’s Snaps Pretzels. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT buy the Snyder’s Butter Snaps as I did by mistake. They are not the same.
This is the ONLY time I can think of that more butter is indeed not a good thing.
Seriously the only time.
Heat your oven to 300 degrees.
Then on a cookie sheet, place some wax paper so you have virtually no cleanup.
Place 1 snap and 1 unwrapped Rolo on each pretzel. Get your manual laborers (oops, I mean, children) to unwrap all those Rolos for you. This is the biggest time commitment.
Place in the oven for 3 minutes ONLY! This will warm the Rolos so you can squish them between the top pretzel layer.
Take them out and place the top pretzel layer.
Find a place in your fridge to let these cool. This usually involves precariously balancing the cookie sheet on top of the milk and orange juice containers, knowing if my adorables get thirsty, I’m in serious trouble. Luckily in about 10 minutes, they are ready.
I also like that you can make a lot or a few, or just 1 should you really get a hankering.
But I warn you – they are addictive!
