Homemade Funnel Cakes
June 11, 2012written by Cathy Baker, mom of two amazing girls, from Missouri
Tonight we decided to make one of our favorite summertime treats…Funnel Cakes! These are soooo yummy and you more than likely already have all the ingredients in your kitchen! I clipped this recipe out of a magazine many years ago, (wish I could remember from where!) and it has become one of our family favorites, so I thought I’d share it with you!
Homemade Funnel Cakes
2 beaten eggs
1 1/2 cup milk
2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups oil
Mix flour, baking powder and salt. Add eggs and milk, mix together. Heat oil. Pour batter into a funnel, covering up bottom hole. Drizzle batter over hot oil. Brown both sides of the funnel cake. Drain on paper towels. Sprinkle with powder sugar and/or cinnamon sugar. Enjoy! Or you can top them with pie filling or ice cream!

on June 11, 2012 11:43 amI am not so sure how I feel about this (kinda like when I figured out how to make s’mores without a fire and then proceeded to do it every day for the next 2 weeks). But, I promise I’m going to try it!!! Thanks!
